Kingwood Mavericks 9U jumped out to an early lead over Premier 8u Buenrostro and took home an 11-2 victory on Saturday. Kingwood Mavericks 9U scored on a stolen base by Reid P and a stolen base by Finn D in the first inning.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the third inning. Kingwood Mavericks 9U put the pressure on, lead by singles by Chase S and Finn, a walk by Reid, a triple by Kyler B, an error on a ball put in play by Tucker G, and a double by Carter W.

After Premier 8u Buenrostro scored one run in the top of the second, Kingwood Mavericks 9U answered with one of their own. Premier 8u Buenrostro scored when Noah M’s sac fly scored one run for Premier 8u Buenrostro.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U tallied seven runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Kingwood Mavericks 9U was led by Reid, Chase, Kyler, Finn, Tucker, and Carter, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Mason G led the Kingwood Mavericks 9U to victory on the hill. Mason surrendered two runs on two hits over three innings, striking out six. Will S threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Taytin G took the loss for Premier 8u Buenrostro . Taytin allowed zero hits and three runs over one-third of an inning.

Kyler, Finn, Carter, Chase, and Will all had one hit to lead Kingwood Mavericks 9U. Kingwood Mavericks 9U stole 17 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Reid led the way with five.

Finn D was brilliant on the mound on Saturday, as Finn threw a no-hitter to lead Kingwood Mavericks 9U past 9U Bellaire Bulls 11-4.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U didn’t take the lead until later in the game. Mason G drove in two when Mason singled.

9U Bellaire Bulls got on the board in the first inning.

Finn was the winning pitcher for Kingwood Mavericks 9U. Finn lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and four runs while striking out five.

Nicholas L took the loss for 9U Bellaire Bulls. Nicholas surrendered five runs on four hits over one inning, striking out two.
Ryan C started the game for 9U Bellaire Bulls. Ryan surrendered six runs on two hits over two and a third innings, striking out four

Will S led Kingwood Mavericks 9U with two hits in three at bats. Kingwood Mavericks 9U stole 16 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Will led the way with four.

Quarterfinals

A walk-off single propelled Kingwood Mavericks 9U to a decisive, dramatic victory over 9U Bellaire Bulls, 10-9. The game was tied at nine with Kingwood Mavericks 9U batting in the bottom of the sixth when Patrick D singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Finn D led Kingwood Mavericks 9U to victory by driving in four runs. Finn went 2-for-3 at the plate. Finn drove in runs on a fielder’s choice in the first and a triple in the sixth.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U took an early lead in the first inning when Tucker G’s sac fly scored one run for Kingwood Mavericks 9U.

Will S pitched Kingwood Mavericks 9U to victory. Will went three innings, allowing three runs on two hits, striking out two and walking one.

Jackson S took the loss for 9U Bellaire Bulls. Jackson surrendered three runs on two hits over one and one-third innings, striking out two.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U grabbed an early lead on its way to an 11-5 victory over Scorpions Team Easton (Black) 9U on Sunday. Kingwood Mavericks 9U scored on a triple by Reid P, a single by Kyler B, and a groundout by Tucker G in the first inning.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U earned the victory despite allowing Scorpions Team Easton (Black) 9U to score three runs in the fourth inning. Scorpions Team Easton (Black) 9U scored its runs on a single by Kayden.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U scored four runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by a single by Chase S, by Bryant M, by Ty E, and a double by Reid.

Chase got the win for Kingwood Mavericks 9U. Chase allowed zero hits and one run over two innings, striking out two.

Bentley took the loss for Scorpions Team Easton (Black) 9U. Bentley went two innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out two and walking one.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U totaled eight hits. Will S and Reid all managed multiple hits for Kingwood Mavericks 9U. Reid and Will each managed two hits to lead Kingwood Mavericks 9U. Kingwood Mavericks 9U tore up the base paths, as six players stole at least two bases. Will led the way with six.

8:15pm vs. Bay Area Crew

Championship

Despite a 6-run deficit in the third inning, Kingwood Mavericks 9U almost came all the way back, eventually falling 10-8 to Bay Area Crew on Sunday. Kingwood Mavericks 9U put up four runs in the failed comeback. Tucker G, Bryant M, and Reid P all picked up RBIs in the rally.

Kingwood Mavericks 9U couldn’t keep up with Bay Area Crew early in the game. Bay Area Crew scored on a single by Carrer, a double by Winslow, and a groundout by Spinks in the first inning.

Bay Area Crew got on the board in the first inning. Bay Area Crew scored one run when Carrer singled.

Robinson earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Bay Area Crew. Robinson went one inning, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out two. Vacquez and Carrer entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Carter W took the loss for Kingwood Mavericks 9U. Carter went three innings, allowing ten runs on three hits and striking out two.
